1. Why should I consider this? What's the benefit to me?
Companies are hurting for advertising space. They want to put ads in places where most of the people can see them. That ad-space doesn't come cheap, and they know it. If you are willing to let them wrap your car in a vinyl advertisement, they will gladly pay you on a monthly basis for it. This link will show you the best auto wrap programs on the net today.
2. What does it take to qualify for the program?
You must have a valid driver's license and be at least 16 years of age. Many companies will not extend the car wrap program if you've had a moving violation within the last 12 months. It is not necessary that you be employed. Many companies are offering this program including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Germany, Israel, India, Australia, and the UK. Others will be opening soon.
3. How do I become selected for an auto wrap?
Drivers are selected based on their driving habits their geographic location in the miles that they drive a day you drive more than 800 mi. per month or if you live near a busy freeway your chances of being selected are much greater. You will be notified when you have been selected to participate in the auto wrap program by the sponsoring company.
4. Do I have to pay for anything?
Most likely, you will only have to pay for gas and insurance. If you've chosen to have a car wrap put on your own car, then all you have to do is continue paying for your own gas and insurance just like you always have. If you are selected to receive a free car with an ad on it you would be required to purchase insurance through the ad sponsors insurance company most of the time this would be at a discount rate you should compare rates to make sure you're getting the best deal.
5. How do I know if I have been selected?
Once selected you will be notified by email or by phone. At this time you will be told about the program available to you, as well as where and when you can pick up your free new car.
6. Can I turn the offer down and wait for another one?
Of course! Drivers may refuse an advert at the time the offer is made without any ramifications. We aim to create a willing partnership between our client and you. We need you to have a positive attitude to the advert and the product or service. Therefore you will always have the right to refuse an advert at the time of selection.
7. Can I still get a free car if I already own my own car?
Yes you can. If you already own your own car you can still qualify to get a new free car, but must drive your free car everyday. If you prefer to drive the car you already own you may also qualify to have that car wrapped and instead of driving a free car, get paid to drive your current car.
8. What type of insurance am I required to get?
If you have your own vehicle wrapped you can keep whatever insurance you already have on that vehicle. However, if you get a free new car you will be required to get insurance though the sponsoring company. Insurance rates through sponsoring companies are usually equal to or superior to normal rates.
9. How long does it take before I get my free car?
This is a case-by-case basis. Some have reported getting their car in as little as 3 days, while it takes months for others. It depends on what kind of car or advertisement you are looking for and where you are currently located.
10. How long do I get to keep the free car?
With most companies, by accepting their car or ad, you must agree to drive for a minimum of 12 months. Under must circumstances you can drive your car 1 - 5 years. However, if your company desires you to drive longer you may do so.
